LRC judicial recommendations

Be sure to vote August 19

After a thorough interview/research process, the LRC has made recommendations for the upcoming judicial elections

Electing a person to public office is a duty and responsibility for voters.  But unlike many other political races, often little is known about judicial candidates.  It is for this reason the LRC has a long history of recommending judicial candidates who share the LRC mission to end lawsuit abuse.

Be sure to vote in the August 19 primary because many judicial races will be decided in the primary rather than the general election.

2008 Judicial Scorecard

LRC shines a bright light on the Supreme Court

The fourth biennial review of Supreme Court decisions provides voters with an ongoing assessment of the trend in liability case rulings from our state’s highest court.

The Washington Supreme Court, composed of nine elected justices, wields enormous influence over our daily lives yet most people know very little about the workings of the court system or even about the individuals who sit on the bench.

The LRC’s 2008 Judicial Scorecard provides insight into the justices’ latest rulings on liability cases which provides the public with insight to those justices who share the LRC’s perspective on liability reform.

Independent studies give poor marks

to Washington’s liability system

Two recent reports told a national audience that Washington’s liability system is hampering jobs, growth and economic vitality.

Check out the U.S. Chamber’s State Liability Ranking Study to find out how Washington compares with other states.  Washington was also shown in a negative light by Directorship magazine its recent report profiling the political, legislative and judicial dynamics that create the current and future liability risks in each state.
